Case Precedence (articles)

  • Law Review journals are an excellent place to start your research because they contain important cases about the topic.Refer to the footnotes to link to cases discussed within the article.


  • Full text federal and state case law

  • Use Shepard's Citations to avoid overturned cases which are indicated by a "stop sign symbol." 


  • Federal statutes (laws) and regulations

  • Use the U.S. Code (provided by Cornell University Law School) to find federal law and state statutes
