Printing

Northwest users can access public computers on the first and second floors of the library. The library has black and white laser printers and color laser printers.

User Consultants are available on the first floor to answer computer questions. View more information on printing and billing. 

Scanners/Photocopiers

Photocopiers are available on the first and second floor of the library. There are also two HP scanners by Technology Assistance available for student use. Scanning is supported by the User Consultants.

Study rooms

The iPlace is equipped with modular tables, chairs, & whiteboards so you can configure your collaboration space as you wish (no reservation required). Check out an LCD projector or portable document camera to further enhance your learning.

The Conference Room (next to the Academic and Library Services office) is available to students after business hours. It is equipped with a ceiling-mounted LCD projector and a white board. Check out a flip video camera & tripod to record & critique your presentation, too! Student project teams can reserve the room for a 2-hour block through Astra or the Library Services Desk (call for assistance at 660.562.1193 or email at libsdlibsd@nwmissouri.edu).

The Presentation Room is located in Room 108A just past the elevator and is available for individuals & groups to practice presentations. It is equipped with a ceiling-mounted LCD projector. Document cameras can be checked out at the Library Services Desk. Check out a flip video camera & tripod to record & critique your presentation, too! Reserve the lab for a 2-hour block through Astra or the Library Services Desk (call for assistance at 660.562.1193 or email at libsdlibsd@nwmissouri.edu).

In addition to the open desks, the third floor has 21 individual study rooms, and 5 group study rooms.

Group study rooms are equipped with ceiling mounted LCD projectors. They can be reserved up to 2 hours at a time. The rooms can be used without reservation, but occupants should check the reservation schedule posted outside the room & be prepared to leave when a group who has reserved the room arrives. Reserve a room for a 2-hour block through Astra or the Library Services Desk (call for assistance at 660.562.1193 or email at libsdlibsd@nwmissouri.edu).

Individual study rooms are equipped with a full-size desk and a white board. They can be reserved for one 4 hour block per day. If more time is needed, check availability with the Library Services Desk to book the room for up to 4 additional hours.
