This video demonstrates how to use the Quick Search platform on the Owens Library homepage to search for books on visual arts topics. It includes instructions for how to use Quick Search Advanced.
Another way to search for books is to use what are called Subject Headings. One method for locating appropriate subject headings is to use the results of a keyword search for Books and eBooks. In the quick search for the topic Alhambra, the second item in the result list seems relevant. Click on the title.
Scroll down the detailed record display and look for the Subjects field in the record.
Clicking one of the Subject Headings like the Islamic illumination of books and manuscripts only returns results related to Islamic illuminated manuscripts .
On the library's homepage, click Books & media
Search for items held behind the Library Services Desk on Course Reserves.
Search by course code, course name, instructor, or department.
