- Click Advanced Search

- Enter search terms
- Place quotation marks around phrases of 2+ words
- Can change "Any field" to Abstract of Full Text
- Use matches any for synonyms

If using the next ACM Digital Library, click next ACM DL:
- In the top-right corner, click Search ACM Digital Library (down arrow)
- Scroll down and choose Advanced Search
- Enter search terms
- Surround phrases of 2 or more words in quotation marks
- Place OR between synonyms and surround with parentheses
- Place AND between different search concepts
- Example: ("speech recognition" OR "voice recognition") AND "natural language"
- Click Search
- In left sidebar, choose All Publications
- Select either Proceedings or Journals
