Midland Empire Coalition
Midland Empire Equality Coalition is a not-for-profit group dedicated to representing the diverse LGBTQI+ community in Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.
Kansas City Center for Inclusion
To operate exclusively for charitable purposes by providing a safe, welcoming community space where LGBTQIA+ individuals, their families, friends, and straight allies can come for education, resources, and activities; and by providing community outreach in building a cohesive LGBTQIA+ community in the Midwest.
PROMO is Missouri’s statewide organization advocating for LGBTQ equality through legislative action, electoral politics, grassroots organizing, and community education.

H.E.R.O. is Northwest Missouri State University’s Queer and Ally Coalition. Our community brings all Gender and Sexual Minorities (GSM), Straight individuals, and allies together to educate and provide a safe space through activities, events and social gatherings.
Ally Affinity Group (for Faculty and Staff)
Affinity groups are designed to create safe spaces for members to share and process experiences. As allies, our affinity group also allows participants the opportunity to identify ways in which we can appropriately use our privilege to bring about social change.
ACRL Diverse Populations Bibliography
The bibliography includes print and electronic resources key to development of effective methods and materials for providing instruction and teaching to diverse student groups. Check BD Owens Library catalog for access to these resources.

The It Gets Better Project inspires people across the globe to share their stories and remind the next generation of LGBTQ+ youth that hope is out there, and it will get better.
National Center for Transgender Equality
The National Center for Transgender Equality is a national social justice organization devoted to ending discrimination and violence against transgender people through education and advocacy on national issues of importance to transgender people.

The National LGBTQ Task Force advances full freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ people.
